Theo Jansen is an amazing Dutch artist, sculptor, and engineer – all at the same time. His work is classed as “kinetic sculpture,” a discipline which hybridizes art and engineering techniques to produce complex but aesthetically pleasing devices which are somewhere between machine and sculpture.
