Today’s dragon is a speedpaint in Photoshop. I didn’t use any special tools – a standard hard round brush with some tweaked pressure sensitivity settings for my tablet, the eraser, a couple layers, and just a little smudge tool (which I’d normally avoid but hey, this is a speedpaint).
I was thinking a little of narwhal whales when I was working on this, and kelp beds. The background would definitely benefit from some photo reference.
