Whew. Two weeks later….
This has been perhaps the most dismally grueling move of my life, made moreso by how long it took, my current social circumstances, and the fact that I was only moving a whopping 32 miles across Chicago.
Of course, I can claim some small excuses (working long hours, newly single parent, blah blah), but rather than play for sympathy I’m gonna go with HA! Take that, world, I’m still alive an’ kickin’ and you can’t get me down! or that’s what I would say but I’m too busy unpacking and whatnot.
I’ve got…um…three weeks…uh, yeah, a little over three weeks of Daily Dragons sketches to scan and post. I’m trying to decide whether to add a note and backdate them as normal, to make the archives more uniform…or post a big honkin’ gallery of them all at once. I’m due to post the July gallery anyway. Hmmm. Any thoughts?
Regardless, I still have to set my workstation up (probably tomorrow, right after I unlock the “have a working kitchen” achievement) and scan the bloody things in, which will take a bit. That, and I really need a proper internet connection, which will be another couple of days at best. (Don’t ask where I’m posting from tonight, it’s a secret. Shhh!)
Now to go find my bed…on the other side of all those boxes…under those other boxes, and a duffel bag, and a partially unpacked box, and some DVDs, and are…are those my pants I couldn’t find half an hour ago? Really. Really? (Not kidding. I should post a photo of my new room, it’s a shambles and looks more like a rental storage unit than a bedroom.)
