One of the larger aquatic guivres, or “sea serpents.” The sargasso wraith is notable for its translucent flesh, and for the thick layer of skin which grows over its scales – internal scales are a rarity in the draconiformes family tree. The leathery hide of the wraith is covered in muscular, prehensile growths resembling kelp [...] I picked up yet another nice little Taschen book the other day – about the life and work of Alphonse Mucha, one of my favorite illustrators and one of the historical artists I find most inspiring.
