…that I ended up spending most of the evening away from my desk doing necessary parenting and grownup things. Then when I got here, my limited time was spent doing prep for a big secret project I can’t talk about yet. I will scan this weekend’s scaly beasties and get ‘em posted tomorrow, with any [...] Ink applied with brush and dip pen, then watercolors. This piece is small, about 3 inches by 5-1/2 inches, on Bristol board. The corners are rounded – you can see them in the scan – which looks pretty sharp. The rounding was done using a 1/2 inch Fiskars squeeze punch corner rounder. This trick is [...] Manga Studio, phoning one in because I’m not feeling all that great tonight and should have been in bed hours ago. Heres to hoping I feel better in the morning. Whew. Two weeks later…. This has been perhaps the most dismally grueling move of my life, made moreso by how long it took, my current social circumstances, and the fact that I was only moving a whopping 32 miles across Chicago. Of course, I can claim some small excuses (working long hours, newly single parent, blah blah), [...] I’ve been absolutely buried with moving all week, and I haven’t had the time to scan and post the growing stack of dragons on my desk. At this stage in the game, it’ll have to wait until Monday-ish as I’ve got to dismantle my workstation and move it this weekend, among other important end-stage items. On [...] |
