Welp….time to introduce myself, I s’pose. My name’s John, or Wes, or John Wesley Thompson (if you ask my birth certificate). I’m the artist around here.

And…boy am I sheepish. Groveling, even. Tears streaming from my eyes. Can you ever forgive meeeeeee?????

My life lately has been grueling and my sleep schedule’s destroyed - totally obliterated. Between conventions, art commissions, getting the site flying, this comic, my other projects, and my day job I’m pooped. So imagine my chagrin when I looked at the page 1 update (page-frickin’-one!) and realized that when I posted it at oh-dark-thirty in the morning…I forgot to include the text. Somebody shoot me.

Anyway, it gave me a chance to do some additional research…so the final text isn’t what was originally going to be on there anyway.  It also gave me the opportunity to fix something I was initially satisfied with, and then somebody said something, and oh, maybe the flags need some work, and…well, you get the idea. Welcome to my neuroses. The worst part is, I know in about a month I’m gonna look at this page again, and need to redraw it a third time just so I’m really finally happy with it.

The little “be a professional, you wuss” voice in my head says not to admit this kind of thing…but to me, part of the fun of a webcomic is seeing what the author suffers through for his or her art. So I’m admitting it - I goofed, and here’s the fix. Hopefully this tendency will quiet down with time. If not…bear with me, it means better art all around. =^_^=
