Trying out a free art application I’d not had luck with before, and I think I’ve figured it out. Inkscape is a free vector drawing program sporting features meant to compete with Adobe Illustrator and CorelDRAW. The user interface is still pretty rough around the edges, but the actual functionality isn’t bad at all.
